Apple hints at iOS 18 AI announcements at WWDC 2024

Apple today announced the official dates for its 35th annual Worldwide Developers Conference, scheduled to begin on Monday, June 10th. In its announcements, Apple sometimes gives us subtle hints about what to expect, and Greg Joswiak makes some not-so-subtle references to AI.


In his tweet, Joswiak said that WWDC 2024 will be “Absolutely incredible” and he intentionally capitalized the first two letters of each word, AI.

There have been plenty of rumors suggesting that AI will be a big focus in iOS 18, macOS 15 and other operating system updates due out this year . year. Apple will add artificial intelligence features to many of its built-in apps, and the company is in talks with Google and others about integrating its existing Large Language Model (LLM) into ‌iOS 18‌.
