New MacBook Air M3 models will receive the first macOS update

According to MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris, the new MacBook Air models scheduled for release tomorrow will have a day one update.


Both 13.6-inch and 15.3-inch ‌MacBook Air‌ models scheduled for release tomorrow run a custom build of macOS Sonoma 14.3, version number 23D2057.

Users will be prompted to upgrade to ‌macOS Sonoma‌ 14.4 tomorrow, as the software saw its public release today. Given the timing of the software launch and the debut of the new ‌MacBook Air‌ Apple models were unable to receive ‌macOS Sonoma‌ They have update 14.4 installed.

Apple M3 ‌MacBook Air‌ Models start at $1,099 for the 13-inch version and $1,299 for the 15-inch version. Customers who pre-ordered will receive their machines on March 8, on the same day the new ‌MacBook Air‌ models will be available at Apple retail stores.
