Monitor prices usually fall pretty quickly. It's worth the wait.

The 40-inch UltraSharp Thunderbolt Hub has quite a few impressive features, like 120Hz refresh support, 140W power delivery for even the most power-hungry MacBooks, and more. laptops, a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, and a powerful Thunderbolt hub.

Some compromises include the lack of a webcam, a plastic body, and a 5K 5120 x 2160 resolution, which is lower than the full 5K 5120 x 2880 specification. However, this is the best resolution than most 40+-inch monitors, including Dell's own 43- and 49-inch UltraSharp monitors.

For everything you get in this size, $2,400 seems reasonable. But you pay more for the curved screen, 120Hz refresh rate, and Thunderbolt hub. For example, the 43-inch Dell UltraSharp costs $1,400 less and features a 4K flat display and USB-C.
