Apple Unveils Spatial Games on Vision Pro

Apple today announced spatial gaming capabilities on the Vision Pro headset, saying it's “the start of a new era in gaming.”


While Vision Pro has more than 250 games available through Apple Arcade, the company has put a special spotlight on 12 “unique spatial games” offered exclusively through the gaming subscription.

Spatial games built exclusively for Arcade on Apple Vision Pro unlock exciting new gaming experiences by merging digital content with the physical world. VisionOS delivers powerful spatial capabilities with an all-new 3D user interface and input system entirely controlled by the user's eyes, hands, and voice. Players can slice apples with their hands as their living room becomes their own dojo in Super Fruit Ninja, hit the perfect shot while freely moving around a whimsical golf course right at home in WHAT THE GOLF?, escape to the mesmerizing audiovisual experience of Synth Riders and much more.

Apple added that soon in Apple there will be “even more magical spatial gaming possibilities.” ‌Apple Arcade‌, list of three upcoming games:

  • Alto's Odyssey: The Lost City
  • Gibbon: Beyond the Trees
  • Spire Blast

‌Apple Arcade‌ launched in 2019 and is available for $6.99 per month, giving access to hundreds of ad-free games on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. This service is also included in the Apple One subscription package, which starts at $19.95 per month.
