MagSafe Monday: The Pelican MagSafe Wallet is the perfect wallet for those who need extra security.

When it comes to MagSafe-enabled wallets for your iPhone, there are plenty of options. One of the ones I tested recently fits the bill if you need something more durable for hiking, running, etc. Pelican MagSafe Wallet & Card Holder (#CommissionsEarned) is a great option for storing cards and cash in a MagSafe wallet that closes instantly.

What is the advantage? The Pelican magnetic wallet differs from others I have reviewed previously in that it is waterproof. Once the case is closed, it is IPX4 waterproof. Whether you're hiking, camping, or live in a rainy climate, the cover is great for keeping everything dry and away from the elements. The right slot can easily accommodate up to 4 cards (depending on thickness) and some cash. The cash compartment is great for storing an extra $20, but you can also put a thinner card (library tag, etc.) under the cash as it has a lot of benefits.

While it lacks some options that other wallets have, such as a built-in stand, the trade-offs are worth it if you need something more durable for the weather and outdoor experiences. Many reviews mention that the wallet blocks RFID, but the official materials don't mention this, so your experience may vary if that's the feature you're looking for.

Overall I really like the Pelican Magnetic Wallet. This is a great wallet option for a child with an iPhone because it can store cash, a house key, and multiple IDs. It stays securely connected to your iPhone and latches securely until you disconnect it. For the price, it's great value for money and a great MagSafe wallet option.

I've passed this on to my son for everyday use, and it's becoming the best wallet for him. It stays connected to his iPhone, so there's one less thing to miss while he's locked up and his snack money is locked away.
