Apple redesigns iCloud app for Windows

Apple introduced an updated iCloud app for Windows this week, introducing a number of new features and improvements to improve the user experience (via TechCrunch).


The latest update to the iCloud app for Windows includes an all-new design, an easier-to-use onboarding and setup process, status syncing, support for physical security keys for Apple ID sign-in, Improved photo synchronization performance, reduced login prompts, and fixed issues syncing contacts and calendar with Outlook.

The ‌iCloud‌ for Windows can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft App Store for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Existing users simply need to update the app to get the new design and improvements.

Yesterday Apple released a custom Apple app Music apps, Apple TV and Apple Devices for Windows computers. The new apps are designed to replace features previously only offered by iTunes, but the original app is still required to access podcasts and audiobooks.
