This week we saw a report that customer satisfaction for the iPhone 15 Pro has dropped significantly since its launch last September – so low that the iPhone 15/Plus is now rated higher by users. Why? One of the main reasons is disappointment in the battery. What about you, are you happy with the battery life of the iPhone 15 Pro?
The battery capacity of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max has increased significantly compared to iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. However, Apple rates the 15 Pro and 14 Pro to have the same battery life as the 15 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max.

For several weeks after launch in September/early October, iPhone 15 devices experienced an overheating issue. But this was fixed in the iOS 17.0.3 update. This caused some disappointment early on, and analytics firm PerfectRec says the iPhone 15 Pro still has 73.5% of user reviews rating it 5/5 stars. This figure was higher for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, with 77% of reviews receiving a 5/5 rating.
Fast forward to January 2024: iPhone 15 Pro device ratings dropped, while iPhone 15 and 15 Plus ratings rose.
The iPhone 15 Pro hit a low with 66.1% of user reviews receiving a 5/5 star rating, and 72.5% of 15 Pro Max user reviews receiving a 5/5 star rating. And one of the main complaints was battery life.
