Philips Hue is once again expanding its lineup of smart lighting options. The company announced the new Philips Hue Dymera wall light, the new Philips Hue pendant cord, and more. See below for details.
The big announcement from Philips Hue is the new Philips Hue Dymera wall light, shown above. Here's how the company describes the product:
With its sophisticated black design, Dymera is suitable for both indoor and outdoor lighting, where it can illuminate large surfaces with a warm or cool white and colored light. With the Philips Hue app, each light source can be dimmed or brightened by changing colors individually. You can also set a scene from the scene gallery to make it look more cohesive.
You may remember that Philips Hue entered the smart camera market last August. The company is finally launching one of the products announced as part of this announcement last year. The Philips Hue Secure Floodlight Camera is now available in the European Union and goes on sale in the US on February 27 for $349.99.
Keep in mind that Philips Hue smart cameras do not support HomeKit or HomeKit Secure Video, as we detailed last year.
The previously announced Philips Hue Secure floodlight camera, specifically designed for outdoor use, is now available, bringing together the best of the Philips Hue system. It lets you keep an eye on your backyard, patio, or driveway, and when a light alarm is triggered in the Philips Hue app, the floodlight instantly illuminates a large area in any color, such as bright white or even red.

Next up, we have the Philips Hue Secure Starter Kit, which the company says is “specially designed to give new users a complete set of smart home security capabilities.”
It offers a wired Philips Hue Secure camera that includes a power supply and wall mount to install the camera anywhere, as well as two Philips Hue Secure contact sensors to send real-time notifications when the contact sensor is opened or closed. In addition, the starter kit includes two Philips Hue bulbs that emit white and colored light from warm to cool, as well as a Philips Hue Bridge that gives access to all the features of the Philips Hue Secure system. With features like live view, night vision and two-way communication, Philips Hue Secure can send you notifications of potential security threats or deter intruders with unique light and sound alarms.
