2024 Apple Beats Pill Features: Louder Sound, 24 Hour Battery, Find My, IP67

Apple is preparing to release its second Beats Pill product since acquiring the audio brand nearly a decade ago. After being acquired by Apple in 2014, Beats introduced the Beats Pill+, which was sold from 2015 to 2020. Even though it was discontinued with no replacement in sight, a future version of Beats Pill has appeared everywhere from celebrities to regulatory listings.

Seeing an unreleased version of Beats Pill is a good joke, but it doesn't tell tell us how it's different this time around, other than the obvious built-in carry strap. However, 9to5Mac has learned from sources what features and specifications will accompany the new Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker once it officially launches.

This is the new Beats Pill

First of all, the new Beats Pill is a portable Bluetooth speaker. While we haven't yet heard what the unannounced and unreleased product sounds like, the 2024 Beats Pill is a sonically upgrade over the 2015 Beats Pill+, at least on paper.

We'll have to hear it for ourselves before we can pass a verdict, but our sources say it sounds like a promising audio upgrade.

New Features

While good sound is key to creating great Bluetooth speakers, features and compatibility are equally important to creating outstanding products. 9to5Mac can reveal that the 2024 Beats Pill will bring a number of features and benefits over the discontinued Beats Pill+.

      Beats Pill 2024 Specs

      As expected, the new Beats Pill includes a number of hardware charges that improve overall performance compared to Beats Pill+:

      • Charges via USB-A and replaces Lightning charging with USB-C charging. and charging.
      • Includes a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging and wired audio between USB-C devices.
      • A new carrying lanyard is included and removable.
      • Bluetooth 4.0 is updated to Bluetooth 5.3.

      The new Beats Pill hardware is slightly lighter: 680 grams (1.5 pounds) compared to 748.5 grams. (1.65 lbs). Lighter packaging comes despite the slightly larger package measuring 8.6″ x 2.8″ x 2.8″ now compared to the previous dimensions of 8 x 2.5 x 2.25 inches.

      It will have device controls including a center button for music and calls, volume up and down buttons, and a system button for pairing, activation of the paired device. voice assistant, power on/off.

      Like Beats Pill+, the new Beats Pill will support stereo output when two devices are connected, or you can pair two devices to enhance the overall sound.

      B While the Beats Pill+ was originally sold in black or white, with red later added, the new Beats Pill debuts in three colors: black, gold and red.

      Ready to launch

      All that remains to be known is the price and launch date. The old version of Beats Pill+ retailed for about $230. Beats already has new headphone hardware. Based on this, the number of celebrity endorsements and FCC filings, we should see new Beats Pills popping up by the summer.
