The 35th annual Worldwide Developers Conference isn't until June, but we're getting closer to the general time that Apple will be announcing dates for its developer event.
Apple could announce the date of its first WWDC event in less than two weeks in late March or early April. . Here are the dates for Apple's latest WWDC announcements:
- 2023 – Wednesday, March 29
- 2022 – Tuesday, April 5.
- 2021 – Tuesday, March 30th.
- 2020 – Friday, March 13.
- 2019 – Thursday, March 14.
- 2018 – Tuesday, March 13.
- 2017 – Thursday, February 16th
- 2016 – Monday, April 18th
- 2015 – Tuesday, April 14th
- 2014 – Thursday, April 3.
Given these dates, we could see Apple's WWDC announcement anytime between Tuesday, March 26 and Friday, March 29, although Apple may also delay the announcement until next week, announcing dates on Tuesday, April 2.
WWDC date options
For the past several years, Apple has held WWDC in the first week of June. and this is also the most likely planned date for this year.
Holding it from June 3 to June 7 would make the most sense given past WWDC events. although it is possible from June 10 to 14. Dates of past WWDC:
- 2023 – from June 5 to 9.
- 2022 – from June 6 to 10.
- 2021 – from 7 to June 11
- 2020 – from June 22 to 26.
- 2019 – from June 3 to 7.
- 2018 – from June 4 to June 8.
- 2017 – from June 5 to 9.
- 2016 – from June 12 to 17.
- 2015 – from June 8 to 12 .
- 2014 – from June 2 to 6.
WWDC software announcement
Apple will present iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, HomePod Software 18 and VisionOS 2 at WWDC this year, and updates will be made available to developers immediately after the main event.
Beta versions will only be available to developers for the first month or so. but if Apple follows tradition, the software will be available through public betas in July 2024. .
iOS 18 is the only update we've heard a lot about, and Apple is said to be putting a big focus on artificial intelligence this year. There will be new additions to artificial intelligence in the OS, and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman thinks this could be one of the biggest updates we've seen on the iPhone in years. Possible hardware announcements at WWDC
No While there are rumors that Apple will introduce new hardware, but we're waiting for updates for a few Macs. Apple has yet to update the Mac Studio, Mac mini, or Mac Pro with M3 chips, so there's a chance that some of these new Macs will debut at WWDC.
