As predicted, watchOS 10 was announced on Monday with a new interface that takes advantage of the larger screens of recent Apple Watch models . Several applications have been redesigned and there is a new place for widgets. Apple is now releasing the first developer beta of watchOS 10.
“Apple today previewed watchOS 10, giving Apple Watch users a new way to quickly view information with redesigned apps, as well as a new smart stack to display the widgets they need when they’ #8217 need amazing new dials too,” the company says.
With watchOS 10, users can enjoy redesigned apps that offer more information at a glance. In addition, new navigation options have been introduced to provide quick and easy access to content. Apple Watch apps like Weather, Stocks, Home, Maps, and Messages now take up the majority of the Apple Watch screen, giving users information at a glance.
App « Activity on Apple Watch and the Fitness app on iPhone have also been enhanced to make it easier to track your workouts. It includes more information, improved sharing, and helpful tips from Apple Fitness+ trainers.
Additionally, the Control Center is now accessible via the side button, making it quick and easy to access anytime from any app. . Double-clicking the Digital Crown returns you to any recently used apps.
How to download the beta
Developers can now try out watchOS 10 by registering their Apple Watch in the Apple Developer Program. More information on how to get the beta update can be found on the Apple Developer website. Apple says watchOS 10 will be released to everyone this fall, with a public beta expected by July.
