For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with GRID Studio to offer MacRumors readers the chance to win a 256GB iPhone 15 Pro from GRID Studio. If you're not familiar with GRID Studio, it's a company that creates works of art from old, discarded Apple products, rescuing them from landfills.


GRID Studio takes vintage devices and breaks them down, carefully laying out each component and adding interesting facts and details about the device. The result is a piece of art that reflects a piece of Apple history, making GRID products the perfect gift for Apple enthusiasts.

For example, the GRID 1 features Apple's first-ever iPhone, and it is arguably its most important device in Apple history. The $399 GRID 1 contains all the components of the original iPhone, from the curved aluminum body to the 2-megapixel rear camera.

The first ‌iPhone‌ predates the A-series chips, so GRID 1 includes the main board with the Samsung processor and PowerVR GPU that Apple used for the device, as well as the 30-pin connector used for charging at the time, and the Home button that In the days before Touch ID, it was just a button. Each component is labeled and logically placed, making exploring the first ‌iPhone‌ from Apple.

GRID even includes a diagram of what was in the first version of ‌iPhone‌' The software looked like this, with classic apps like Calculator, Text, Phone, Mail, Safari, and YouTube, as well as a classic Steve Jobs quote.

Over time, the original ‌iPhone‌ it's harder to find, making it one of GRID's rarest pieces. The company says there are very limited quantities of GRID 1 left due to the difficulty of supplying ‌iPhone‌ first generation. It's worth noting that some of the units used may have minor scuffs and scratches due to GRID's use of vintage hardware.

The GRID 1 measures 13 x 13 x 1.8 inches and has a plain black finish. frame that allows you to place it anywhere in the house. GRID 1 and other GRID parts can be purchased from the GRID Studio website.
