'Killers of the Flower Moon' Wins One SAG Award on Apple TV+

Lily Gladstone, one of the stars of the Apple TV+ film “Assassins” Flower Moon” received the Screen Actors Guild Award in the category “Best Actress”.

The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place Saturday night, and Apple TV+ walked out of the ceremony with one gong. Receiving the award is also an important milestone.

Lily Gladstone, who starred in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, won the SAG Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Gladstone's win also marks the first time for an Indigenous performer in the award's history.

To win the title, Gladstone had to fend off competition from Annette Bening in Nyada, Carey Mulligan in Maestro, Emma Stone in Poor People and Margot Robbie in Barbie.

Killers of the Flower Moon was also up for other awards, with Robert De Niro nominated for Best Supporting Actor as well as Best Outstanding Performance by a Cast.

The win was the latest for Killers of the Flower Moon, which has enjoyed significant awards season success thus far. The film was nominated for 10 Oscars, including Apple's second-ever Best Picture nomination.

In the television categories, Brie Larson was nominated for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries for “Chemistry Lessons,” and Billy Crudup was up for Best Actor in a Drama Series for “The Morning Show.” “while Jennifer Aniston was not nominated for best actress in a drama series. Hannah Waddingham, Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein were nominated for best actor or actress in a comedy series for Ted Lasso.

” “Morning Show” and “Ted Lasso” were also up for best ensemble in a drama series and comedy series, respectively, but lost to “Legacy” and “Bear.”
