After more than a year of reporting, more than a dozen specific rumors have emerged about features and improvements that will be offered in the two non-Pro iPhone 16 models later in 2024.

Design
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 The Plus is expected to retain much of the design of its predecessors. Cameras

Batteries and charging
iPhone 16 models could get some significant improvements in battery and charging technology, with denser batteries and faster charging capabilities. Other features and changes
While many Apple devices are rumored to be getting a number of new AI-powered features in the form of software updates later this year, the iPhone 16 The models are expected to go further with exclusive features provided by the more powerful Neural Engine in the A18 chip and an upgraded microphone.

Is it worth upgrading?
iPhone 15 was quite a significant upgrade over the iPhone 14 in 2023, introducing a more modern design with a Dynamic Island, a USB-C port, and a 48-megapixel Q camera. iPhone 16 will build on these updates by offering Capture and Action buttons, AI features, and spatial video capture. With over 30 updates rumored to be available, many current iPhone 14 users will find the upgrade to the iPhone 16 a worthwhile model, if not necessary.
