With the start of the MLS season, Apple announced that Season Pass users will be able to watch videos on Apple Vision Pro — and will soon also receive an immersive 3D film of highlights from the 2023 championship games.
After releasing the 2024 MLS Season Pass, Apple revealed how users can follow games now and that they'll be getting more “soon.”
“Fans can also access the MLS Season Pass from the Apple TV app on Apple Vision Pro,” Apple said in a statement, “where they can watch games alongside other apps in their physical space.”
MLS Season Pass allows fans to watch all games without any local blackouts. In addition to watching through the Apple TV app, users will be able to watch “in an environment where the screen appears 100 feet wide; and Spatial Audio mode for an even more immersive viewing experience.”
This applies to all games of the season, but while it won't be ready for launch, Apple is promising an even more immersive experience for Apple Vision Pro owners as it looks back at the 2023 games.
All Apple Vision Pro users will soon be able to experience the best of the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs, thanks to the first-ever sports film shot in Apple Immersive Video,” it said.
“Viewers will feel every heart-pounding moment in 8K 3D,” he continues, “with a 180-degree field of view and spatial audio that transports them to every match.”
This is Apple's second ten-year exclusive agreement with the MLS, and Apple TV+ reportedly added nearly a million subscribers in its first season.
