With the release of iOS 17.3, Apple is moving to a beta version of iOS 17.4. The first developer beta for iPhone is now available. We'll update our information and share any new changes as they become available.
While we wait, here's a quick rundown of each one. iOS 17.X released from September:
- iOS 17: Standby mode, interactive widgets, improved AutoCorrect (September 18, 2023)
- iOS 17.1: improved AirDrop, Apple Music, Standby (October 25, 2023)
- iOS 17.2: History app, spatial video recording, Action button (December 11, 2023)
- iOS 17.3: Stolen Device Protection, Unity Wallpapers, Collaborative Playlists (January 22, 2024)
Major changes for EU iPhone users:
- Apple announces on cutting fees for apps in Europe
- Apple will allow the use of third-party browsers and web engines by default on iPhone, but only in the EU.
- Apple announces support for third-party app stores for iPhone in EU, which will appear in iOS 17.4.
Apple is also testing new versions of its other platforms:
- tvOS 17.4 beta
- HomePod 17.4 beta
There are no developer betas for macOS or watchOS yet.
