WWDC 2024 kicked off on Monday, with Apple showing off a slew of features it plans to bring to its devices later this fall. Among these features was a large section on Apple's new foray into artificial intelligence, which it calls Apple Intelligence.

Apple says Apple Intelligence is personal intelligence designed to be useful and relevant to the user. These include new writing tools, image creation and editing, Siri improvements, and the ability to record and transcribe phone calls as they happen.

Available on iPhone 15 Pro and later. Call Recording and Transcription records and actively transcribes the contents of the call. When recording starts, all parties involved in the conversation receive a notification to avoid unwanted surprises.

After a call ends, Apple Intelligence provides a summary of the call to help you remember key points at a glance. A similar feature will appear in the Notes application.

According to Apple, the transcription will be available in English (USA, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore), Spanish (USA, Mexico, Spain), French (France), German (Germany), Japanese (Japan), Chinese (Mainland China, Taiwan), Cantonese (Mainland China, Hong Kong), and Portuguese (Brazil).
