Will you buy the ultra-thin iPhone 17 if battery life is reduced? [Vote]

We've learned new details about what Apple might release in 2025 as a new high-end iPhone with an updated ultra-thin design. factor. But with this change, we may see shorter battery life, especially compared to the Pro Max model. Is the ultra-thin design worth it at the cost of a smaller battery?

In early May, Jeff Poo predicted the iPhone 17 line would ditch the Plus model in favor of a new version ” Slim.” The Information then published a more detailed report on the purported details, saying the thin 2025 iPhone would be “significantly thinner” than current iPhones and would also be more expensive than the Pro Max.

Along with the super, the new premium iPhone 17 with a slim design is expected to have a display somewhere between 6.12 and 6.69 inches – no larger than the current Pro Max models.

Not By increasing the size and not being “significantly thinner”, Apple will either have to make some improvements to battery technology or efficiency, or make the trade-off of shorter battery life.

For reference, here are the current battery ratings iPhone 15 line by Apple:

iPhone 15 line battery life

iPhone 15 Pro Max iPhone 15 Pro iPhone 15 Plus iPhone 15
Battery for video playback 29 hours 23 hours 26 hours 20 hours
Battery for audio playback 95 hours 75 hours 100 hours 80 hours

The answer is NO. I prefer more battery life than thinness. Most people use cases to protect their iPhones, so that's it. it doesn't even matter. A complete waste of resources.

Those who prefer the iPhone 15 or 15 Pro Pro Max or Plus are already preferring shorter battery life to get a more compact smartphone. And they still provide most people with all-day battery.

So maybe it's not so hard to buy an ultra-thin iPhone with a smaller battery?
