The major Microsoft outage affected several key services, including Bing.com, Copilot for web and mobile, Copilot on Windows, ChatGPT internet search, and DuckDuckGo. The outage began around 3:00 a.m. ET and primarily affected users in Asia and Europe.

User reports and MacRumors tests indicate that attempts to access Bing.com result in either a blank page or HTTP error code 429. Notably, the Bing search feature remains functional when directly accessed through a specific URL, although the home page remains unavailable.

For users who need to search in Bing, accessing the search engine directly through an alternate URL is a workaround. However, Copilot's services are completely offline across all platforms, including the website, app, and Windows integration.

As noted by Bleeping Computer, Internet search ChatGPT and DuckDuckGo are also experiencing outages due to their rely on Bing. API. DuckDuckGo users are encountering an error message: “An error occurred while displaying search results. Try again”. Despite the widespread impact, Microsoft has yet to issue a statement, although OpenAI has acknowledged problems finding ChatGPT online on its support page.
