Apple Unveils Incredible New Enterprise Experiences Using Vision Pro at Work

Apple today published a new newsroom post highlighting the benefits of Vision Pro in the workplace. Last weekend I posted my thoughts on the impact Apple Vision Pro will have on the workplace in the short and long term. An Apple news release highlights how companies are building new enterprise solutions that use spatial computing to customize workspaces, collaborate on projects, provide specialized training, and fun ways to lead work in the field.

“Businesses have a tremendous opportunity to reimagine how Apple Vision Pro can be used at work,” said Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of global developer relations and corporate marketing. “We're thrilled to see the innovative ways that organizations are already using Apple Vision Pro, from planning firefighting operations to detailing the most complex engine design details—and that's just the beginning. Combined with enterprise-grade capabilities such as mobile device management built into VisionOS, we believe spatial computing has the potential to revolutionize industries around the world.”

One of the important things on What's worth noting is how quickly Apple added device management support to Vision Pro. VisionOS builds on decades of development in macOS, iOS and iPadOS, so it was ideally suited to work with Apple's device management APIs from the early days of the device, unlike watchOS, which took several years to build. to get device management support.

“Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary device, and we are thrilled to be able to leverage the power of spatial computing with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Mobile Start,” said Philipp Herzig, Director of Artificial Intelligence at SAP SE. “In the future, we see the power of VisionOS combined with generative AI becoming a force multiplier for enterprises. SAP Analytics Cloud running on Vision Pro will help our customers gain entirely new insights from complex data through powerful and intuitive processes that accelerate their business planning. And with SAP Mobile Start, we provide access to all SAP business applications and workflows in ways unimaginable.”

SAP is at the forefront of Apple's workplace adoption, so it makes sense for their teams to experiment early on how Vision Pro will impact the workplace. Even if you're not relying on Vision Pro for personal use, the developers have a lot of strings attached to get the experience on the job.

“Spatial computing has allowed us to reimagine how professionals can be productive and intelligent with the power of artificial intelligence,” said Nicole Herskowitz, vice president of Microsoft 365 and Teams. “With Microsoft 365 and Teams on AppleVision Pro, your office moves with you, allowing users to view apps side by side on an infinite canvas with spatial computing for incredible multitasking and collaboration.”

Design and manufacturing processes are complex and require large amounts of data from many sources, which is difficult to transfer to traditional desktops and laptops. NVIDIA Omniverse Cloud APIs enable developers to push massive sets of 3D design and modeling data from the cloud to Apple Vision Pro. High-resolution displays and sensors are built into Vision Pro, allowing developers and designers to create detailed, immersive visualizations and visual effects that can be viewed and manipulated in real time. Vision Pro gives employees a blank canvas when considering the limited space of traditional computing devices. I suspect we will continue to see impressive examples of Vision Pro being used in design and manufacturing across a variety of industries.

“Global industries are striving to create digital twins of products, objects, and processes that allow it’s better to test and optimize designs well before they go live in the real world,” said Rev Lebaredian, NVIDIA vice president of Omniverse and simulation technologies. “Enterprises can now combine the power and capabilities of Apple Vision Pro, and physically accurate rendering of OpenUSD content with NVIDIA accelerated computing to create next-generation immersive digital experiences.”

Apple includes exciting new features Examples of Vision Pro being used in newsroom communications from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lowes, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Porsche and many more. Read the entire post to know everything about them.
