Apple sends emails to developers invited to Apple Park WWDC 2024 special event

On Monday, June 10, Apple is planning a watch party for select students and developers to watch a pre-recorded presentation of new software updates. Apple was accepting applications for the event until yesterday, and now emails are being sent to developers selected through a lottery.


The event will include “exciting new programs,” the opportunity to meet Apple experts, and other “special events” related to WWDC.

At last year's WWDC event, developers and students were provided with a morning of refreshments followed by the main event. This was followed by “State of the Platforms Union,” and there were two Apple Park tours to choose from. The day ended with the Apple Design Awards and an evening dinner.

Prior to 2020, the Worldwide Developers Conference was held in San Jose, California, in an in-person format. The developers had to pay $1,599 for a ticket to attend, and the number of seats was limited. Starting in 2020, Apple turned WWDC into an online event open to all developers, but in ‌Apple Park‌ Small in-person events were held. starting in 2022.

On Sunday, June 9, Apple's Infinite Loop campus will host a reception where participants can receive their badges in advance.

Apple has extended invitations to current Apple Developer Program participants, Apple Developer Enterprise Program participants, Apple Entrepreneur Camp graduates, and Swift Student Challenge winners from 2022 to 2024. Participants were selected randomly.

Visiting ‌Apple Park&zwnj is free. ; Special event, Apple does not cover travel or lodging costs. Out-of-state participants will be required to pay for airfare, hotel accommodations, and transportation to ‌Apple Park‌.

WWDC 2024 will take place from June 10 to 14. Developers not selected to attend the special event will be able to watch the keynote, interact with Apple engineers, and watch WWDC sessions online.
