TikTok beats YouTube and Netflix to Apple Vision Pro thanks to official VisionOS app

Apple Vision Pro has a new way to completely lose track of time. TikTok announced today that it has officially launched its own spatial app for VisionOS.

TikTok's own app brings video viewing from Safari to a premium spatial app on Apple Vision Pro. Netflix and YouTube, by comparison, have essentially only acknowledged the existence of Vision Pro. YouTube might create an app for this someday. (For now, it's Juno.)

TikTok says its new app lets you “experience your For You feed in a whole new way with this immersive content experience.” which certainly looks right at home on the Apple Vision Pro.

But serious warning about losing track of time! Apple doesn't prominently display the time in Vision Pro, so users have already experienced a loss of sense of time in the headset. TikTok is already a master of making 2 hours seem like 5 minutes on iPhone and iPad.

TikTok says Apple's new Vision Pro app is now available.
